Peer Review Process

The journal has a permanent Editorial Body, and it is avoided the institutional and geographic concentration of its members, beyond counting on recognized researchers in the academic community from several institutions. The members’ names of the Editorial Body are in the Section "About". In case of accumulation of works to be processed, 'ad hoc' evaluators will be chosen to speed up the process. These are external evaluators who will be chosen between researchers that have publications in magazines of quality in recent years. At the end of each year, the names of the collaborative 'ad hoc' evaluators will be published. The submitted articles will be sent to two evaluators, without the authorship identification. In case of contradictory concepts, the work will be directed to one third evaluator; the scientific Publisher should only nullify doubts, impasses and the final decision about the edition. The originals will be submitted for the approval of renowned specialists’ evaluators. The works will be sent to two or more specialists, according to the required necessity for the thematic, without the authorship identification, as a form to guarantee one opinion without any influence. After the evaluation, if approved, the articles will be sent to the Publishing Committee, which will select the articles to be published.

Journal History

The design of "Independent Journal of Management & Production" began to be planned at the beginning of 2009, named "Revista Independente de Administração & Produção" in order to publish paperworks of undergraduate students, as well as dissertations and theses in Portuguese.

In July 2010 the journal project began to be put into practice, when Professor Paulo Cesar Chagas Rodrigues, www.paulorodrigues.pro.br registered his domain and released as part of it.

During conversations with fellow masters and doctorate, as well as the institution which offered tuition the possibility of turning the journal into an international publication was raised and it was switched into English as well as the translation of its title and abbreviation.

In 2011, when the magazine published the first number of volume 2, the ISSN number was requested from IBICT, to increase its credibility. In 2012, as part of the planning, domain www.ijmp.jor.br was registered as official.

In the middle of the second half of 2012, fellow Msc. Carlos Antonio Pizarro Louzada FSP and Ph.D. Student and Professor Gerson Rossi dos Santo, IFSP, joined the Journal in order to make the English revision of all the Journal and give support to the translation of all the calls that we started to do. In December of the same year, I was invited by Professor Dr. Rafael Hernandez Barros to be part of the Spanish research group Gaudeamus, and in the first half of 2013, the journal started a partnership with FSP - Faculdade do Sudoeste Paulista (the Southwest Paulista College) and Postgraduate Department of Civil Engineering, UFF - Universidade Federal Fluminense (Fluminense Federal University) to be other of our sponsors.

In the first half of 2014, we acquired the DOI registration with the CrossRef aiming to increase the visibility of articles published and in the second semester has ended talks with the dean of research, Prof. Dr. Eduardo Alves da Costa, and the general director of Campus Avaré, Prof. Dr. Sebastião Cruz Francelino, the institutional support of the Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia de São Paulo as Publisher of the journal.

On April 6, 2015 the newspaper "Independent Journal of Management & Production (IJM&P)" reached the milestone of 1,000 registered users.

Professor Dr. Florian Ion Petrescu, receive our gratitude for the invaluable support given to us, like the conquest of various indexes, with your active and continuous contribution with your work. Professor Petrescu has been a key person in our journal.
