Introduction
This May, the Independent
Journal of Management & Production (IJM&P) is launching a Special
Edition in partnership with the Organizing Committee of the II International Conference on Agrarian
Science and Education in the European Integration Context (ASEEIC), held by
the State Agrarian and Engineering University in Podilya (Kamianets-Podilskyi,
Ukraine) in March 2019. The conference is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the University
founding.
The
origin of the State Agrarian and Engineering University in Podilya dates back
to 1919, to the creation of the Agricultural Faculty affiliated to
Kamianets-Podilskyi State Ukrainian University. Later, in 1921 Agricultural
Faculty was reorganized into Kamianets-Podilskyi Agricultural Institute, in
1955 - into Kamianets-Podilskyi Agricultural and Engineering Academy, in 2004 -
into State Agrarian and Engineering University in Podilya (PDATU).
During
the following years the University has been undergoing dynamic changes,
developing and widening its activities and premises. Currently
the University consists of four faculties (Veterinary Medicine and Technologies
in Livestock, Agricultural Technologies and Environmental Management,
Engineering and Technology, Economics), Institute of Postgraduate Education and
Retraining, O. Alekseeva Scientific and Research Institute of Cereal
Crops, five colleges, two technical schools, Regional Innovative Centre “HUB
Podillia”, International Center of Cultural and Educational Activity and
Advisory, the Botanical Garden, the Research and Production Center
"Podillia", the veterinary clinic, the student learning farm, the
collection orchard, the educational apiary.
The IJM&P and PDATU
partnership with publishing this SPECIAL EDITION, aims to promote the proceedings
of the II ASEEIC, during which the relevant research findings were
presented.
We congratulate all the authors for
the papers and that, by merit, had their papers accepted in our journal in
English. We would also like to thank the scientific committee of II ASEEIC for
its support and Nataliia Semenyshena as a coordinator, from the selection of
the works to the finalization of the publishing process.
